Keeps sand on the bottom, away from your paint
A dirt trap, or grit guard, is a clever accessory that helps prevent scratches and swirls while you wash your car or motorcycle.
You place the guard at the bottom of your bucket. When you rinse your wash mitt, sand and dirt fall through the guard to the bottom, where they remain. This way, you pick up clean water with each wipe instead of loose dirt particles, protecting your paintwork from scratches.
